Subject: Totally Worthless 30 FORD

Southeast Florida
I've got 1 of these jewels out here with the steering pump gone. There use to be a way that you could do away with that junk and plumb it through the main pump on the transmission. It's been 15 or 20 years or so since my uncle sent his 7 FORD's to the great salvage yard in the sky. If memory serves me correct they're open center hydraulic system. Can I piggyback another pump on to the main pump inside for steering? Or can I run the return oil from the from the SCV's to the orbital? Or is there a pump that bolts to the timing cover where the joke is at now that will actually last? Everything else is cobbled together on it so one more isn't going to matter.
