| Around here all the M's with loaders want 'live' power. They weld a sprocket on the front of the crank pully and run a chain to a bolted on hydralic pump on the side frame. pumps last forever, never saw one out. Only thing is chain needs oiled sometimes and chain replaced. Ideal would be an old brush oiler mounted above chain and automatic oil, would then last three times as long. Unless you use it thousands of hours,,, you would be happy with same. I am NOT familiar with the Ford's that much but much the same could work. Other option is IF you dont need the PTO for equipment operation they run a pump off that. Front pump works better and leaves PTO optional use open!! Just how similiar handled here.
the IHC 300 pump(live) up behind the distributor, and some M's and H's had them too, was equally as big a joke,,,very poor seals!!!Then dumped all the hydralic oil in the crankcase!!! IF they worked today, tommorrow they didnt. | |
