You can put these in they somewhat dull the downstream o2 sensors so they wont flag the convertor as being bad.
If you do this and clear the codes it needs to be driven so the computer can run the catalyst monitor to be sure it
wont set a code. I am not sure if they seen these during the inspection if they would pass your truck.
There is no good way to temporarily fix the converter and being in New York I believe you can not just use a generic
converter legally you have to have a CARB and 50 state certified converter which is much more expensive. | |
