Did everyone have a Rube Goldberg machine in the 80's or was that just in the movies?

NKau - 6/10/2023 06:15 Makes me think of that old 'Farm Show' paper/magazine. You would see guys turn old combines into snow blowers, and things like that. On one hand, the hillbilly engineering was always amazing. On the other hand, if a guy put value on his time, I would think most of these guys would have been further ahead buying a tele-handler instead of building one out of a 1975 Ford dump truck and some random loader frame that was in the tree line.

I have a Farm show "I made my own tractor" archive magazine.  I'd do admire people's ability to turn junk into some functional but I just laugh and call BS on some of these guys that make a loader out of a JD 55 combine and say its better and more reliable then buying a real one.
