As OKBEN mentioned, we made a change from the flex-locking nut that was used a number of years ago, to a vibration proof washer and standard nut. Update 16 discusses this change and can be found at: https://www.acepumps.com/_Assets/Literature/Update_16.pdf
Stainless hardware is best, as mentioned by NebFarmer and HF213, but note that the shaft is stainless also. Stainless on stainless will friction weld (gall) to itself, so fast running drivers/impacts might not be a good thing. Run them slower to minimize the affect.
