Is the tri-axle trailer allowed to be more than 80,000 pounds total?
What is the weight limit of a tri-axle trailer semi set up?
A few years ago there was an effort to allow 92,000 pounds on a tri-axle trailer semi setup with single wheels on the extra axle.
This was supposed to be nationwide, I think.
Somehow the vote failed for safety reasons.
Are there variations, state to state, on total weight?
