Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Seems like I used to be able to plug in a USB to lightning cable to either my iPhone or iPad and it would act as an external drive. If I would look in the Internal storage folder and then in the DCIM folder, my pictures were visible and I could work with them like any other file in an external drive.
It was easy to copy pictures taken with either the iPhone or iPad with this method. Lately this doesn't seem to work. With my iPhone 8, a message about an incompatible file format appears. With the iPad, its internal storage folder appears to be empty even though I've just taken a picture with the iPad and it is visible.
I am able to transfer pictures from the iPhone or iPad if I email them to myself and then they can be manipulated on the PC. This does work but it was less steps before.
Any ideas?
