Illinois Heartland | Ronm posted under the Tough Beef thread he cooks ham hocks in with pinto beans in a crockpot.
Got me thinking about this. I’ve never had ham hocks and I’ve got a few packages in our freezer from the last couple of hogs we’ve had butchered.
I’m not really in to northern soup beans, but do like like 15 bean soup on occasion with some buttered sweet cornbread made in an old well seasoned cast iron skillet.
I’m interested in trying Ronm’s pinto bean recipe. Any other favorite recipes with ham hocks to share? | |
