I think you have pushed them to hard to fast on grain.
Mine I give 4# of ground feed a day and free choice hay tell 14 months old. Then increasing feed slowly tell they are not cleaning it all up. Then putting them on self feeder usually they are finished about 18 months old.
Wght around 1400- 1600 #.
I feel you grow frame first.
