Ahhh no… diesel fuel will break them down.

They have had to go away from it to an environmentally friendly soap to spray the trailers down at work because the state didn’t like them using diesel fuel. It used to be a way to keep the trailers from sticking and building up with asphalt and millings.

If it’s gonna be straight off the road they can get chunky. You can tell when the mill teeth are getting bad. If they have been crushed then it won’t be too bad. Just be carful not to overload your trailer and do not leave them in there for long as you will get a block. The warmer they are the better they set up. Definitely should be compacted. If you do it in layers, keep compacting it while the trucks drive over the whole pad not just one path. Especially on a hot summer day you will have a nice hard pad.
