NW Washington | I remember a friend of my grandparents who had one of those hearing aids he kept in a shirt pocket. He was a funny old fellow who would turn his aid off when his wife scolded him. He would also get yelled at for having his standard transmission car engine running about 3k rpm while parking and driving slow and saying, "I can't hear it." That was back when automatic transmissions and tachometers were very rare. The good old days. | |
