| Nice cattle! Wall's employer videos a lot of Angus bull sales so his honesty might of had some consequences.
Smallest cow herd in 75 years. You would think that given all the "genetic improvement" everyone would be weaning 900 pound calves, each one with a diamond in their @$$. A few years ago a guy gave a presentation at I believe the BIF conference. An economist that had been touring feedlots and said he was amazed at the number of heiferettes that were on feed which led him to believe we had some big problems with the maternal genetics in the US cowherd. I know guys that have spent a lot of money on Angus bulls that have to have their feet trimmed and go back for some more. | |
