What goes into that is standard of care. Since pharma sets the standards the doctor really has no choice but to follow the standards.

If you spent 10 years being trained in all these protocols you’re pretty well brainwashed into beliveing it’s the right way. You’re too far in the system to back up. The ones that get enlightened many times loose everything because the system is so powerful.

Farming is no different we just have looser standards because there’s not centralized training.
Imagine if your never stepped foot on a farm, the NRCS and extension puts you through a training program for 10 years. Then you rent a farm from the government and they tell you exactly what you can do in every situation. An old timer tells you he used to run a mold board plow to freshen a farm up. So you try it and someone reports you to gov and they take your farming liscense. Or old farmer tells you he used to plant conventional beans and run clethodim and butyrac for weeds. You’re fixing to cut out all the corporate profit so it’s against policy. The retailer won’t deliver your order. Gov threatens to take your liscense if you don’t follow their protocol.

All this “sustainability” crap is putting us down that road. It may not be optional for long. One day we’re going to look up and you won’t be able to buy 10-34-0 without some sort of efficiency product. A guy told me a few years ago that his opinion was it is illegal federally to not add all adjuvants required on a chemical label. Just like in dicamba crops where you are required to satisfy the tank mix partners list. A corporate wet dream.
