But cost wise, think geographically. Who is most likely to actually come to the sale. Take your past private treaty customers and mail them a catalog. Send others a post card with a link to the same catalog online.
If I'm interested in a sale, for current or possibly a future purchase I don't mind looking at the catalog online.
Use an internet bidding service for those who can't attend or are farther away.
Remember that even if someone doesn't have a need this year, you want them to be impressed with your offerings and keep you in mind for next year.
