Or as someone said, see if you can gift the rights to Church/Charity. Maybe they would pay the "legal" fees to gift it too.
But then there is always the chance some other mineral or gas/oil strata will be found that is a bonanza.
If someone in the family has the time/patience to mess with them, maybe move it to them.
