Knowing the family they won't let that happen. We would need to have at least triple the cows to make a manure only digester work, also the projected cost of this project is 50 to 100 million dollars. What farm can afford that?
The 6,000 head dairy near me is putting in a digestor project. It's going to be dairy waste only, as far as I know. I didn't realize quite how many dollars might be involved. That might be tying up their spare change for a couple years. |
