Brown county MN | I'd be just as concerned with the yield as the weed pressure. Seems competition keeps tillering to a minimum and prevents those feather weight oats from growing.
On the recommendation with data of an agronomists the specialized in small grain and forage we bumped our seeding rate from 3 to 4 bushel an acre for the same reason and we've been pleased with the results.
Yield stayed about the same, but the weight has been the best we've grown in memory. | |
