Subject: RE: Non-gmo beans for north MS

Central MN
Just start pricing seed both ways. It seems around here a lot of non-gmo bean seed is high priced. Or bagged in only 110,000 unit sizes. Lots of times it’s lower seed cost but higher herbicide cost vs high seed and lower herbicide cost. But either way is fine. Conventional beans you have to be right on time with spraying. Don’t say I’ll hit them tomorrow because then your 3” too late by morning. Fighting weeds the rest of the year then. Start by pricing some seed and go from there. Whatever way you do decide to go don’t be afraid to ask questions as you go. Lots of brilliant minds on Agtalk.
