Subject: Question for south and central Georgia farmers

Osakis,Mn
We drove through southern and east central Georgia on our way from Tallahassee Florida today. I was noticing many fields that had yellow flowering plants/weeds in them. I’m wondering if they were volunteer canola or common mustard or something else? Also there appeared to be a grass like plant, about a foot tall, with a reddish top, maybe flowers, couldn’t tell from the road. It didn’t appear that there was any attempt to control either of these plants/weeds before they went to seed, maybe it’s not a problem that needs controlling.
