30 years ago a neighbor we harvest for did this on accident. Similar area to you but not sandy. Typical dryland population is 15K. It was a chain drive planter and he accidentally planted 80 or so acres at 30K. He ended up just leaving it and it yielded about the same as the rest of his corn at 15K. It was a normal year and yields for the time. About 80 bu/ac. Long story short: ET doesn't really change with population. Just leave it.
