Earlton Ontario | We are in Oat country and grow alot of them. We single shoot all starter fertilizer in furrow with the seed. Our potash levels are low-medium. We usually go with 100 pounds MESZ and 30-100 pounds of Muriate in-furrow depending on the farm soil test. In our area oats don't seem to respond beyond these rates... We use fungicides and PGRs with 100 pounds of N.
Raw harvest test weights usually 38-45 pounds. | |
