You can use Apple or Android. You’ll find the app in both the Google Play store or Apple App Store.

Once basic setup is done, data transfer is simple. To transfer data, simply log both the display and mobile device into the same WiFi network. The two will find each other and start transferring data, or you can hit manual sync in the data transfer menu that comes up if you hit the satellite in the upper right corner.

If no WiFi is available, the display can be set to access point mode to create its own WiFi hotspot. You can connect your mobile device to the InCommand network and start the data transfer.

Another benefit of signing up for the free version is if you have internet to the display you can download satellite imagery to use as a background map when you are in the field. Really helps at night and in poor visibility situations to be aware of where you are. I use the imagery a lot as well when doing drainage work.
