The answer is yes and yes, I have 2 or 3 short runs that I blow out with a schrader and it holds water pressure just fine,
I even cheated on a couple and just drilled and tapped an 1/8 pipe thread right into the tee. One plastic and one galvanized. They hold about 100 lbs year around,
