Could spin the books however you want! It wouldn't "cost" you anything to just keep her and try again. Or run the numbers on selling her, and finding a bred heifer or open heifer to breed the upcoming year. If she's your own genetics, and the availability of similar genetics to buy, it might sway you either way.
