| We had an older LG that did weird things also. I took the back off and unhooked and removed the video card. This next part is very important! Remove the black plastic part the cables go through.
Place the card on cardboard and put it in a hot oven, don't recall the temp. This will reflow the solder on the card, making better connections. Supposedly, poor quality solder cracks due to heating and cooling(on and off) and you end up with loss of connection.
Ended up doing this about once a year for about 3 years
