northeastern Ohio | I always felt it was better to be late starting the rotation than too early in the year. Need to keep from cannibalizing the roots or you won't get regrowth unless you spend a fortune on fertilizer.
Starting late usually means that a couple of your paddocks will be overmature by the time the cows get to them. Need to cut these and make them into hay or silage.
Starting early usually results in running out of grass in July. Starting late gets me to August. Then I have the hay I made from the mature paddocks.
This is in eastern Ohio. I have no idea where you are, so my experience may have no value to you.
