Tidal forces on a solid is a little tricky to comprehend but so be it. Perhaps the entire solid (moon) moves to 'high tide' and that is a little difficult to illustrate compare to a raised liquid (ocean) surrounding the earth.
The thoughts raised tidal effects in my mind but I didn't find anyone around me noticing them (lol).
Astronomy lesson for me?
