Subject: RE: Alaskan cruise

We did the Princess cruise and were very happy with it. We started in Vancouver and headed north. Book your air and any side trips through your ship carrier. As long as your cruise line knows that your are on a approved carrier, the ship will wait for you if something happens. This happened to us, our plane was delayed getting into Vancouver at the start of our trip and as were had booked our flight through Princess, the ship waited for us. The approved air and side trips at each port were about the same cost as the non-approved so it wasn't a big deal. We were very impressed with the organization of Princess for us getting into port and getting on the right side trip. Each night before we would get into a different port, our side trip information was waiting in our room telling us the time which door on ship to depart from, and the buses were lined up on the dock very close to the ship clearly marked with what side trip they represented. With close to 1000 people getting on and off the ship at each port, there was NO excess waiting in line when we went in 2011.
