East of Broken Bow | If you have the time, I've had good luck mixing about 2/3 of a batch for a little calf like that, and then going 4-5 hours and giving him another 2/3 of a batch. After another 4-5 hours or overnight, give the calf the remaining 2/3, then on to medicated milk replacer.
Been doing it like that for twins for years, and generally the twin my kids raise is as big as the one the cow had. The big thing is to get at least some colostrum in it as soon as you can. | |
