Subject: RE: Tillage implement predicament

My son uses a Salford enforcer in the fall following new non chopping Drago GT with Devastators. One pass this spring with a Tigermate II and looks as nice as it gets, much blacker than needs to be for beans, but plenty black for COC. My Buddy Steve at Swartzrock implement in Charles city showed me a Lemkin Rubin last fall, that is a very impressive fall tillage tool also. I think those blades would work up an airport runway. Large diameter rolling basket on back really smoothies things out. Find some dealer to demo one of those two machines and you’ll be impressed. No need for chopping stalks either in front, although I am impressed with the Devastators. We had plenty of tall stalks, 250 bushel corn last fall, not even a wisp of a bunch in the field, although the coil tine harrow will leave some stalks on the end rows when raised up. Not bad though. Don’t know where you’re at, but you’d be welcome to come take a look.
