If it's a Twin Disc, and you know it has HD axles, you could probably take it to 485 without any worry. If STD axles, then you could still do it, but I don't know that I'd nail it to the ground and pull its guts out.
If it's a CAT, I THINK, I would have to research it, but I think one new enough to have a CAT Powershift has HD axles and could go to 485 without issue.
I know there are some CPL differences in the engines, but I have seen guys take them higher without issue. I always prefer to caution customer too much, rather than not enough.
