Smaller than 16" rims won't clamp in the middle but I believe they do have models with a smaller table. Even if you don't do your own pickup tires, sometime you will need to do bigger than 16" tires.
I've wondered about pivot tires. Which model did you get?? Don't they have 'adapters' for doing the smaller rims?
