Subject: Re: apple salad recipe

south east minnesota
My gramma used to make an apple salad that was alot like some of the recipes I seen here. Make a kinda thin sauce using mayo, milk and sugar. You want it to taste a little on the sweet side, not on the mayo side. Cut up apples of your choice. Since you've already made your sauce probly, just cut up enough apples that your amt can coat, but yet not leave a big puddle in the bottom of the bowl. I put walnuts and raisins in. We also used to have a carrot salad, same sauce, raisins, but shredded carrots and peanuts. I can eat that by the bowlful! My husband says they must be Montana things because he never heard of any of that here in SE MN.
Probly so.
