I was out of vinegar this weekend so I used CLR, it recommended 1 part to 8 parts water, and 4 rinse cycles. I don't think I went that strong on the CLR but was amazed at the chunks that were in the pot after running it through. I don't know if it changed the flavor of my coffee though but it did a better job of cleaning the buildup than the vinegar...
