Our tradition is the day after Thanksgiving, we load up a bunch of leftovers, hot chocolate and all the family that wants to go (usually quite a few) and head as high up in the mountains as we can. About a half hour/45 min drive is all. When the snow gets too deep on the road, we stop and cut trees for everyone. Cut up some snags and build a big bonfire, everyone plays in the snow. Makes for a great time for young and old kids. | |
