Subject: Consider a Summer Kitchen.

Little River, TX
There are too many good things to say about both gas and electric.

But for the electric stove contingent, consider a second kitchen not directly connected to the house, ie a summer kitchen. A place to bake during the summer without heating the house.
For the times when there is no electricity, consider a gas stove with a pilot light rather than an electric coil to light the gas. Then you can cook by lamp light.

I am talking about anything from a spare stove on the back porch, to a full fledged satellite kitchen with grills and smokers as well as a gas stove.
