Have had our convection over for just over 3 years now.  Will not do without it.  As Boog says, it has the either/or option.....my choice of whether to bake or roast normally or use the convection function.  Having 2 ovens now, over the single we had b/4 the remodel, is fantastic for big family holiday meals.  You'll love it!
