Chatham Ontario (1 hr east of Detroit)
When I had problems with water leaking in we dug all around the foundation the old clay tiles were plugged plus we had cracks in the poured walls.I powerwashed the wall, repaired the cracks with mastec and fiberglass mesh, rolled on lots of tar then covered with a dimple board material, put in the new plastic tile covered the tile with.3/4 round only about a foot or a little better, the reason I didnt go any more is that with too much gravel it can act like a cystern(draw water from too far away)my brotherinlaw backfilled with all gravel and has 2 sump pumps to keep up in the spring
