And they get leaky all over too.
Mom always put'em in the frig after opening so I followed suit. Until recently; only took 55 years to figure out if leave out at room temp with lid tight keeps the fizz a much longer time than in frig. At least in my frig (:, it's only the wife and I and the pop isn't opened much but in the frig after two or three days it's flat; set out for weeks and still fizzy.
