Rock County, MN

School Of Hard Knock - 9/4/2010 07:59 Keep it cold if possible for sure....other than taht, once it si open or sits for a while.... it goes flat.My question, (not trying to sidetrack the post,) is how does it get its fizz in the first place? Its the carbination. But what is the proces of carbination and what does it do to give it its fizz like that? Does it add , change or remove something chemicaly to the product? Surley it isnt carbon added to the pop?Soda maybe?

It's CO2 and you can google old fashioned soda pop making and get a good idea or what's called Italian soda may help you understand the process originally used to get fizz in the bottle.
