| Wife has made memory quilts from high-schoolT-shirts and or sweatshirts for people from California to the East Coast. She uses the printing on the shirts to make squares or blocks and than sews them together into a quilt.
She uses "backing" purchased from Quilt Shops to make the cloth stable so it doesn't strech. "Backing" is pressed onto the fabric with a hot press or hot iron.
