Subject: Re: Baling corn stalks in Michigan

thanks for the reply, Don't have access to a flail chopper. I could cut with haybine then rake and bale. I know the leaves and husks have the highest nutrient content. Would it work to just run the baler right behind the combine without the straw chopper on so that most of what is baled is the husks? It would be an eight row corn head and I have a lot of ground that could be covered so i dont need many bales per acre. Any input is appreciated since I've never done this before.
