So. IL
that the bank will be making any decisions based on your luck, be it good or bad. Their decision to continue or stop their participation in your business will be based on financial parameters which demonstrate either your ability or inability to provide a return on the investment money that they provide you with. Call it bad luck if you will, but at least 75% of the problems that you have experienced since you started farming are in some way a direct result of the management decisions that you have made along the way.

Some people are just better at managing the business side of farming and it's associated risks than others. This is not to say that you are a bad farmer nor a bad person for that matter. Today there are just many more risks and pitfalls to farming than in days gone by. And guess what, it's not going to get any easier or less risky. The good part is there are new tools to manage those risks that farmers ten, twenty and thirty years ago did not have available to them. Sorry, but only Paris and Nicole get to live The Simple Life.

So where do you go from here? That decision and it's associated results remain almost entirely in your control.
