Bright as the desert sun in august is about right nothing worse than a dark shop. One neighbor has a ok shop,, but it's like a working in a cave in the middle of the night. Gotta strike a match to see if the lights are on. A couple of ideas,, enough switchs so you don't have to turn the whole shop into the face of the sun just to work on some tiny thing. Have lights high enough and/or adjustable so when (for example) working on something on the bench and look up you don't blind yourself. ANother neighbor hooked his air compessor righ into his light switches so the compressor doesn't decide to needlessly run when he's not in the shop. (I never bothered to ask him how he did that, must be a "sub-switch" or something cause his air compressor is a Huge monster compressor 5+hp ) |
