Agree with Don, Metal halide were the cat's meow a few yrs back, not anymore. I just recently read, Metal halides losed 35% of their light output during the first yr of use. After 3 yrs their light output is around 30% of teh original design. Now the worst part is the energy bill doesn't go down with the less light put out by the halides. The new energy effecient floresants - are less money and use less energy.
