Just commenting on Sears/Craftsman: yes they are good about fixing or exchanging their power tools. If you take a sorry router back 4 or 5 times because it keeps breaking in the first week, they WILL keep giving you the same sorry model each time, no charge.
Don't get an oil-less compressor. They run hot and are noisy.
