We pay the shoup price and just throw them away every season or everyother, depending on how much you cover in a year. We used to buy the good ones and oil them non stop and take them off every year and put them in oil. Now we put the cheap ones on and before the next season starts we cut them off with the torch and put on the new ones. If you want to get really cheap and can do the work look around and buy the chain by the roll (10 or 50ft).
