West Texas | Dutch, KWES 9 has been off the air since the "ice storm" event. Embarassment, probably.
The smoke from the refinery fire was plainly visible from here, and later in Midland, I could still see the smoke.
My aunt who lives in Big Spring said she thought the house next door blew up, and ran outside thinking her house was gonna collapse. Saw the smoke from the refinery towering up like an atomic explosion. Her son works for the company, but lives in Dallas area.
First time I can remember that they've had such a serious event. Had a fire maybe 30 years ago, but it burned out quick. They are well-trained people there. | |
