I agree. You don't want hard iron stuff rattling around in any combine -- especially a rotary. I made my extension and used Loctite on the properly tightened bolts. I think it is important to make sure that things are properly fastened. My dealer told me that the first 75 they sold, shed a couple cylinder rasps while it was working. Made a mess. They determined that someone at the factory messed up. Solution was to tighten the bolts properly -- not leave out rasps for fear that they'll come loose.
