That's the way I do it, only I use zip ties instead of baling wire. I tie pairs of hoses together about 2 feet from the end with one strap. Then at the end of the hose, I put zip ties on the hose that goes in the left (or bottom, depending on how the SCVs are oriented). On Deeres it's always the left coupler that gets pressure when the lever is pulled back. Anyways, I put one zip tie on the left hose of the pair that goes in SCV I, two for SCV II, three for SCV III, and four for SCV IV. It works slick for me.
